hey everyone...

just finished working on a wonderful record for a very special singer/songwriter from New Hampshire named Brooks Hubbard.  with producer Val McCallum at the helm, the fearless and talented Brooks was joined by myself, pedal steel master Greg Leisz, bassist Bob Glaub, and drummer Pete Thomas.  I cannot wait until the public hears this great young artist and this special record.

also just wrapping up producing my dear friend Celia Chavez new EP, tentatively titled "Dare To Love."  John Paterno is mixing now, and this album of Celia's sweet tunes also features Bob Glaub on bass, Victor Indrizzo on drums and Chris Bruce on guitar.  it's a goodie.

have LOTS of dates coming up around the country w/ Martin Short, Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers.

so...

NAMM week is coming up here... two exciting gigs here in LA, both at the Blue Whale in Little Tokyo... first is the debut live performance of BAND OF OTHER BROTHERS, with Nir Felder (gtr), Will Lee (bs), Keith Carlock (ds), and Jeff Coffin (ww) on WEDNESDAY 1/18, and then a few days later, on Saturday 1/21, I'll be w/ Mark Guiliana's Beat Music LA on a double bill with Zach Danziger/Owen Biddle's EDIT BUNKER.  Quite a week of music-- and at the Blue Whale you're not inundated with slapping of Foderas and wailing of Jacksons.

Speaking of BAND OF OTHER BROTHERS, our first album, "City Of Cranes" is getting spins on lots of jazz and college radio staions nationwide.  Thanks to:
